Leah Mullen is a composer and vocalist from Oswego, New York. She is currently majoring in Music Composition (Dr. Baljinder Sekhon), minoring in German, and completing a Diversity Studies Certificate at Penn State (‘22). Leah’s current compositional interests include conceptualization and sounds of nature, pitch systems, timbre based compositions and fixed media playback with performer relationships.

February, 2021: Leah has been commissioned to write a new work for voice and piano through Chelsea Opera

February, 2021: Leah has been accepted into Really Spicy Opera's April 2021 Libretto Workshop

February, 2021: Leah has been accepted into the 2021 SPLICE Institute

January, 2021: Leah has been accepted into the 2021 Alba New Music Festival Composition Program

March, 2021: Leah is the recipient of the Penn State School of Music Eleanor Beene Scholarship Award

March, 2021: Leah is the Penn State School of Music nominee for the Golumbic Scholarship in Humanistic Achievement 

March, 2021: Leah has been accepted into Longy's Divergent Studio
