VOICE

As a performer, Leah has premiered some of her own works, as well works by other new music composers, including David Adu-Appeagyei, Abbie Adams, and Emily McPherson. Currently, Leah performs/composes for the Avani Collective.

 

Leah has experience in solo singing (opera, art songs, musical theatre, and new music) and choir. She has premiered new works, such as: agc  (Adu-Appeagyei), The Objection to Being Stepped On (Adams), Closely Pressed (McPherson), and A Correspondence with Mrs. Sacks (Mullen).

 

Some of her operatic and theatrical credits include: Suor Angelica, Dido and Aeneas, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, in which she was nominated for Best Leading Actress at the Syracuse High School Theater Awards. She has been a member of the Penn State Opera Theater, Oswego Opera Theater, Oriana Singers, Discantus, and No Refund Theater. Leah has studied with Dr. Edward Christopher (Penn State) and Dr. Mihoko Tsustumi (SUNY Oswego).
